The Liebster Award is a great way to feature new blogs and to get to know new book bloggers in the process. There are variations as to the guidelines of how to proceed with this award but here are the basics:
1. Link back to the person/blog who nominated you.
2. Answer the questions they set for the blogs they nominated.
3. List 11 facts about yourself.
4. Nominate 10 blogs (preferably those with less than 200 followers)
and be sure to let them know with a link to your post.
5. Create 10 questions for your nominees to answer.
So I saw this over at The Readingdesk Reviews and decided I’d also do it. Basically the idea is to pick the 10 books you really want to read in the new year. I have at least 100 books in storage here that I haven’t read so this is a great way to reflect on my book purchases and remind myself of some of the ones I really want to read.
This week I’ll once again be taking part in Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. The idea of for Stacking the Shelves is to talk about the books you’ve bought, borrowed, etc. and show off and talk about your purchases and borrows. This is basically the perfect feature for me because I buy way more books, and read way more books, than I’ll ever be able to review. I’ll most likely talk about the stores I bought the books at as well, especially if they’re independent stores.
This week I’ll be doing things little differently. As you may know I’m away on vacation right now and as such I’m not able to make a proper StS post. So this week I’ll be sharing what I packed with me on my vacation to read.
This weekend I got to meet Jamie Blackley and Gayle Forman for a signing of If I Stay as part of the press tour for the upcoming movie. This event, hosted by Chapters, was so exciting for me. I’ve previously met Rainbow Rowell to get Fangirl signed and I was so excited to meet Gayle and Jamie because I really love their work. So for this, very special, post I wanted to share my experience with everyone.
