Stacking the Shelves (29)

This week I’ll once again be taking part in Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. The idea of Stacking the Shelves is to talk about the books you’ve bought, borrowed, etc. and show off and talk about your purchases and borrows. This is basically the perfect feature for me because I buy way more books, and read way more books, than I’ll ever be able to review. I’ll most likely talk about the stores I bought the books at as well, especially if they’re independent stores.

This week I purchased 3 books and received 2 book on NetGalley. Check them out below!

PURCHASED

This week I bought 3 books. Mostly they’re books I’ve been waiting for and was lucky enough to get when they arrived at the store.

divergentI bought Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth this week despite telling myself I would never read this book. I finally gave in because I saw the movie and kept thinking about how attractive Theo James is (VERY). I have read it by now and liked it a lot!

mosquitolandI also bought Mosquitoland by David Arnold. This book sounds really interesting and quirky. I’m excited to see what it’s like. I also adore the cover which is really interesting looking.

A Darker Shade final for IreneFinally, I bought A Darker Shade of Magic (A Darker Shade of Magic #1) by V. E. Schwab. I have been waiting on this book since the moment I heard about it. I loved the preview, so I’m really excited to jump back into the action.

NETGALLEY

This week I received 2 book on NetGalley.

lc12srFirst I received Lola Carlyle’s 12-Step Romance by Danielle Younge-Ullman from Entangled Publishing, LLC. This book sounds really interesting and I’m really curious about how Younge-Ullman took on the subject.

bb

Finally, I received Bob’s Burgers Volume 1 by Chad Brewster, Jeff Drake, Justin Hook, Rachel Hastings and Mike Olsen from Diamond Book Distributors. I’ve read it by now and it was really adorable, especially if you’re a fan of the show!

Ramble on,
Kimber

  1. Great haul! Lola Carlyle’s 12 Step Romance sounds like a pretty good read; I may have to request that one too! Mosquitoland is one that I’ve been anticipating for the longest time. I’m glad that you enjoyed Divergent! I thought it was alright but the second book completely blew me away. I hope you enjoy your books and have a great week. 🙂

    1. Hopefully you get approved, because it definitely sounds good. I wasn’t super aware of Mosquitoland leading up it is release, but I knew the cover looked interesting so I wanted it. I’m a bit unsure if I want to read Insurgent, I didn’t like Tris that much so I’m not completely sold on reading more, but it’s good to hear you liked it, it definitely makes me more inclined to read it. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

    1. It’s really awesome. I’ve already read the preview, which I reviewed a week or so ago, and it was really amazing. It’s slow going for me though because I’ve been working overnight shifts all weekend. You should definitely check it out!! Thanks for stopping by!
