Welcome to Waiting on Wednesday hosted by Breaking the Spine. The idea of Waiting on Wednesday is to talk about upcoming books that you’re excited about. I am excited to do this feature because it will allow me to look at upcoming books a lot more, and be more aware of what’s new in the world of books.
Title: Sisters (Smile #2)
Author: Raina Telgemeier
Release Date: August 26 (In Canada it’s September 1)
Read my review of the book here.

Raina can’t wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born, things aren’t quite how she expected them to be. Amara is cute, but she’s also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn’t improve much over the years, but when a baby brother enters the picture and later, something doesn’t seem right between their parents, they realize they must figure out how to get along. They are sisters, after all.
Raina uses her signature humor and charm in both present-day narrative and perfectly placed flashbacks to tell the story of her relationship with her sister, which unfolds during the course of a road trip from their home in San Francisco to a family reunion in Colorado. (Source: Goodreads)
So, yes, I’ve already read this. I reviewed this book a little while ago here on my blog. I loved this book so much! But I still want to get my hands a a physical copy of this book because I love Raina Telgemeier and I want to have a permanent copy of this in my life.
If you like graphic novels, if you love sibling drama, if you love funny stories about funny people doing funny things…you will love this. It is absolutely fantastic. I really hope you’ll give this book, and it’s companion book Smile, a chance because they’re really amazing stories.
What book are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comments!
